Vaclav worked 19 years in different management positions in the major pharmaceutical company Merck (known as MSD in Europe) out of which almost 12 years as the Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Under his leadership the Czech subsidiary won several internal awards for the fastest growing country organization and successfully underwent several major restructurings and one of the biggest mergers in the industry. Vaclav left the company in 2015 and currently serves as the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Prague and is involved in several start-up projects mainly in healthcare. Vaclav holds a Medical Doctor degree from Charles University 1st Medical Faculty and MBA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Vaclav serves also as a Mentor for European Women on Boards project co-funded by the European Union.
